Google merupakan search engine yang paling banyak dipakai oleh netter. Beragam informasi dapat kita cari secara cepat dengan menggunakan google. Untuk mengoptimalkan hasil pencarian, google menyediakan beberapa option:

filetype:

Option ini digunakan untuk mencari tipe file tertentu.

Contoh:

filetypels -> untuk mencari file MS Excel

filetypeoc -> untuk mencari file MS Word

inurl:

Option ini digunakan untuk mencari kata tertentu yang “masuk” sebagai url.

Dengan option ini Anda dapat melakukan pencarian pada pencarian folder tertentu (jika dikombinasikan dengan option “index of”.

Contoh:

inurl:admin -> pencarian ini menghasilkan url website yang mempunyai kata “admin”

site:

Option ini secara spesifik digunakan untuk melakukan pencarian pada situs tertentu.

Contoh:

site:torry.net “xp style” –> mencari dengan keyword “xp style” pada situs www.torry.net

intitle:

Option ini digunakan untuk mencari kata tertentu yang terdapat pada title dari halaman web.

link:

Option ini digunakan untuk mengetahui situs mana saja yang nge-link ke situs tertentu.

Contoh:

linkelphi3000.com –> mencari situs yang mempunyai link ke www.delphi3000.com

Anda dapat mengkombinasikan berbagai option di atas untuk mendapatkan hasil pencarian yang lebih spesifik.

Contoh:

pdf “rapidshare.de/files” site:rapidshare.de

–> untuk mencari buku atau file pdf di rapidshare.de

+inurl:exe|rar|zip site:rapidshare.de

–> untuk mencari program, aplikasi di rapidshare.de

Anda dapat mengganti site:rapidshare.de menjadi site:megaupload.com untuk mencari file di MegaUpload

Menyembunyikan user account pada Windows XP

Saat Anda mulai memakai komputer maka akan muncul welcome screen dan akan tampil semua user account pada komputer tersebut. Dengan tips di bawah ini Anda dapat menyembunyikan user account yang Anda inginkan.

Key      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList

Value Name

(nama user account yang akan disembunyikan)

Data Type        REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)

Data     0 untuk menyembunyikan dan 1 untuk menampilkan kembali.

Walaupun user account tersebut tidak kelihatan pada welcome screen, tetapi Anda tetap dapat login dengan user account tersebut, caranya dengan menekan tombol Ctrl + Alt + Del dua kali.

Mendisable System Properties

Saat Anda mengklik kanan My Computer pada desktop maka akan tampil System Properties.

Anda dapat mendisable-nya dengan tips berikut:

Key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Data Type        REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)

Data     0 untuk enable dan 1 untuk disable.

Walaupun user account tersebut tidak kelihatan pada welcome screen, tetapi Anda tetap dapat login dengan user account tersebut, caranya dengan menekan tombol Ctrl + Alt + Del dua kali.

Menyembunyikan icon Control Panel

Salah satu cara untuk mencegah orang lain mengubah setting atau konfigurasi pada komputer Anda adalah dengan menyembunyikan icon/applet pada Control Panel. Caranya adalah sebagai berikut:

Buka registry lalu masuk ke

key:Key           HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\don’t load

Value Name

xxxx

Data Type        REG_STRING

Data     no.

Nilai xxxx tergantung dari icon apa yang akan disembunyikan. Misalnya Anda ingin menyembunyikan icon System, maka xxxx diisi dengan sysdm.cpl.
